This week I've been trying like crazy to win tickets to summer concerts on like 4 different radio stations. I've haven't been lucky so far, plus today is Friday the 13, so who knows?
I tried to win The Fray, Nickelback, Dane Cook, and DMB tickets.
I have been lucky before last fall I won O.A.R. tickets and a meet and greet with the band, it was very cool. You know O.A.R. and there song "Shattered".
This week I came so close, caller 15 of 18, 5 of 8, and 8 of 9.
Here's hoping lady luck with bless me this Friday the 13.

I like Apple best, I've been using them my whole life since Elementary school. I was just given the new iLife as a gift, it is very cool, that faces feature in iphoto seems very techy, although it did not work on my cat. lol And maybe with the newer garagbe band I'll finally be able to play more than one song on my keyboard.

My review of "Gotta Be Somebody"

I was so excited I downloaded this after I ate breakfast today, it was so cool they made it available for their fans to download and hear it first, before it hits radios tomorrow.

It is so great, I love Nickleback! Can’t wait for the video, I can think of so many great ideas.
Can’t wait for Dark Horse!
You rock Nicklebck!

THE RECOVERY BENEFITS OF CHOCOLATE MILK

My favorite fact was that the findings suggest that chocolate milk has an optimal ratio of carbohydrates to protein to help refuel tired muscles.

I was thinking today about a healthy recipe with Nesquik, so I played around and came up with this one for Low Fat Nesquik Chocolate Souffles. Try it out, let me know what you think.

Low Fat Nesquik Chocolate Souffles

Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp. Dutch cocoa powder
1 tbsp. flour
1/3 cup Nesquik Low Fat Choclate Nesquik
2 egg whites
1 egg yolk
pinch cream of tarter
2 tbsp. sugar
1/4 tspn. vanilla extract

4 1 cup souffle cups/ ramekins

1: Position the rack in the lower third of the oven and prehat to 350F. Spray souffle cups with vegetable oil spray. Pour a little granulated sugar into 1 cup and tilk to coat the bottom and sides. Tap our excess sugar into the next cup and continue until all the cups are sugared.
2: Sift the powdered sugar, cocoa and flour into the top of a double boiler, or heavy saucepan. Add the milk and 1/2 cup water and whisk until smooth. Cook over gently simmering water (or not), whisking continuously, for about 10 minutes, or until thickened. Remove from heat. Set aside.
3: Beat the egg whites with the cream of tartar on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually sprinkle in sugar, beating at high speed until stiff but not dry.
4: Whisk the egg yolks and vanilla into the chocolate mixture. Fold about a quarter of the egg whites into the chocolate mixture to lighten it. Fold in the remaining whites. Divide mixture evenly among the cups. It can be filled e to about 1/4 inch below the rims. Souffles may be cooled, covered and refrigerated for up to 1 day.
5: Place the cups on a baking sheet and bake for 15-17 minutes (19-20 if souffles were prepared in advance and refrigerated), or until souffles have puffed well above the rims. Do not overbake.

I wrote this limerick when I was thirsty for Nesquik

There once was a person named Kate,
Who sat with a quite empty plate,
Her mouth was so dry,
What ever could she buy,
Chocolate Nesquik would be great.

We raked today for 2 hours and 15 minutes, the city leaf pick up is on Saturday. It is so early this year, but what can you do. We filled 15 bags, and the funny thing is, only about a third of the leaves have fallen in our neighborhood, they are still green in the back. So what about the rest of the leaves? Good question, we're not going to lug 30 more bags to city hall, so they'll probably just go in the back corner, and walla a new compost pile.

A Scary Nesquik Halloween Story

by Kate

It was the darkest night Cora had ever seen. She was supposed to be at Kara's house for 11:44pm Halloween Eve, together they were going to head to a midnight Halloween party at Creepy Club. She walked briskly amongst the rustling leaves, stumbling a few times on her Nesquik Strawberry Milkshake Ready To Drink costume. She had been working on her costume for 3 weeks, deciding to break her scary costume tradition, she ultimately decided on a Nesquik Strawberry MilkShake RTD costume because it was her favorite drink in the world. Finally, she arrived at Kara's house, she knocked on the front door, but their was no answer. She tried Kara's cell, it went straight to her inbox. "This is weird," thought Cora, "She's never been been late for anything in her life. She wouldn't leave with out me, would she!"
After siting for 15 minutes on Kara's front stairs, a bell chimed midnight. Cora decided to walk down town to club, by herself, maybe Kara was already their. She cut across the front lawn and suddenly slipped on a white substance. "Ouch!" cried Cora. What in the world was this stuff. She tried to get up again, and slipped, noticing that the substance had formed some kind of trail. As she crawled, following the trail, she found a blue wig. "Oh my god, Kara!", thought Cora, "She was going to wear this." Something was defiantly wrong. Cora started to run down the street following the trail. It led straight to the Calcified Cemetery. She heard a girl scream, and saw a flashing light. She slipped through the cemetery gate, and walked hunched over, trying to cover herself behind grave stones. As she made her way to the back of the cemetery she couldn't help but notice unusual phrasing on a lot of the gravestones, "Here lies Larry Silk, He died because he did not drink enough milk," "We mourn Susan Bellarose, she did not do lactose, and so she died, we do not lie", "Timmy Little, his bones got so brittle, we cried when he died." Cora figured all these deaths had to do with lactose intolerance, she knew if you did not drink enough milk you wouldn't be so healthy, because milk delivers lots of nutrients to our bodies, making our bones and teeth strong. Up ahead she saw it, the Lactose Intolerance monster that had attached Kara. She ran at it full force, and knocked it over with her giant Ready To Drink Nesquik costume. The Lactose Intolerant monster screeched, as Cora saw strawberry colored sparks fly out of the cap of her costume. Their was another loud flash, and the monster vanished. Cora ran over to Kara. "Kara, Kara, wake up!" Kara opened her eyes, "What happened?" asked Kara, "Last thing I remember I was siting on my front stairs waiting for you!" "The Lactose Intolerance monster, he's real, he took you here to the Calcified Cemetery." "Oh my god, I really have to start drinking more milk!" Kara realized.
